OHS POLICY HRS - POL - BM - 002. 0 Document Name and Reference Date Effective Version Set Review Planned Review Page HRS - POL - BM 002.0 Motor Vehicle Policy 11/07/2018 3 3 yearly 11/07/2021 1 of 1 MOTOR VEHICLE POLICY HRS Motor Vehicle: From time to time, you may be requested to drive an HRS motor vehicle in th e p erformance of your duties or for any other approved work purpose. If we make such a request: • You must hold a current and valid driver’s licence. • You must complete a daily vehicle pre - start if one has not already been completed. • You are responsible for the HRS motor vehicle from the time you take it from the premises to the time you return it. You must use it in a safe and lawful manner and are the only person authorised to drive it while it is under your responsibility. HRS will not pay for any traffic infringements (local, state or federal) while the vehicle is under your responsibility. • You must not drive the HRS motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, prescription medication or any unlawful substance which may impa ir your judgment. If you are convicted of any offence related to using any motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, prescription medication or an unlawful substance, you will be subject to discipline up to and including dismissal, if the convict ion results in your being unable to perform your duties. • If you are involved in an incident or accident involving the use of an HRS motor vehicle, you must notify us as soon as practicable and complete an accident/incident report. • Communal HRS motor vehicl es are not available for general private use and the vehicles must be used only for work related purposes. • Employees who have been allocated an HRS motor vehicle are required to use it as per the conditions of their individual employment contract . • All veh icles must be kept clean and well maintained – non - adherence will result in disciplinary action in accordance with the HRS Discipline Policy. • All vehicle users are required to provide Administration with all fuel receipts . • HRS motor vehicles are smoke free zones - non - adherence will result in disciplinary action .
